DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to a discussion evening on Thursday 20 June  2024 @ PHOBIANS Club, 378 Queen’s Crescent, Lynnwood, Pretoria, 18h00 for 18h30.\nThe discussion evening is an initiative of PhilCofEast – Philosophy Coffee in the East (of Pretoria)\nJan Bosman, Chief Secretary of the Afrikanerbond (AB), will be in discussion with Willie Snyman about “Cultural Minorities’ experience of the Democratic order in South Africa since 1994”.  There will be ample opportunity for questions from the audience. \n– Jan was born on June 12, 1964 in Pretoria and he passed Matric at Hoërskool Kempton Park.\n– After his compulsory military service, his academic adventure took him through RAU/UJ and NWU where he achieved his qualifications up to Masters Level, mainly in Political Science. While at RAU he was also active in student politics. Currently he is a registered PhD student at NWU.\n– His political safari started at the National Party and continued through Louis Luyt’s Federal Party to the DA and the Western Cape Provincial Government.\n– In March 2007 he was appointed as Chief Secretary of the AB.\n– He is very active in community and cultural organisations, serve on many boards and received many accolades. His articles are published regularly in the press.\n – He lives in Randburg with Marike and their two children.\nPhilCofEast, a community initiative, aims to establish a discussion platform for hot topical affairs with a spicy philosophical flavour. Held in the East of Pretoria but for all from everywhere.
